Darby Associates is a network of professionals
who provide writing, graphic and select Web
services online. Assignments are made on the
basis of an individual's expertise and the needs
of our clients. Because most of our
professionals are independent contractors who
work from home offices, our overhead is limited
and we are able to charge less than most brick
and mortar companies. But, since our
associates have long and distinguished resumes
in their areas of expertise, we deliver quality

Darby Patterson

Darby Patterson has been a professional journalist for more than 20 years – working
in both print and electronic media. She moved from covering local and state politics to
work for the California State Legislature and later to write speeches and op-ed pieces
for members of both houses. She also worked in private sector marketing, PR and
media relations for high profile companies.

She was editor in chief of one of the nation’s largest trade magazines that cover how
governments use technology to change the way services are delivered to citizens. Her
position took her inside state governments throughout the nation.  Her work has
been widely published in throughout the U.S.and Europe.











Search Engine Optimization (SEO) requires specific skills and a sold grasp of subject
matter. Her background as a journalist gives Darby a broad palette of experience that
adds to her effectiveness in Search Engine Optimization.

Because of her diverse background as a journalist and her natural curiosity, Darby is
able to write on a comprehensive range of topics. As a journalist, she authored
hundreds of profiles and has a particular affinity for bringing personalities to life in
print. Darby interviewed and wrote pieces about many prominent people such as

As the principal writer for her small network, Darby either completes assignments

She holds two B.A.’s from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and did post
